ABOUT THE BARGAINING SUMMIT
The APFFPA Leadership Team is proud to host this two-day Bargaining Summit, designed to equip each Affiliate’s Bargaining Committee member with the knowledge, strategies, and tactics necessary for successful negotiations and effective advocacy.
This training program is tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced across our province. Throughout the two days, participants will take part in sessions that explore negotiation techniques, strengthen communication within bargaining teams, deepen understanding of the legal frameworks that guide collective agreements, and support the development of strong, well-structured contract language.
By attending the Bargaining Summit, participants gain valuable negotiation skills, strengthen their collective education, and enhance their ability to advocate confidently on behalf of their members. The benefits extend well beyond the two days of training, it is an investment in the long-term strength of our Locals and the future of Alberta’s Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics.
We are committed to enhancing collective education and strengthening the capabilities of our province. We firmly believe that investing in the professional development of our bargaining committee members is a strategic move that will yield long-term benefits. Our executive board members are dedicated to facilitating this comprehensive training program to ensure our affiliates can navigate complex bargaining processes, negotiate confidently, and advocate effectively for their members.
