A Message from EVP Henschel
We’re just a month away from the 2025 Curtis Oscar Noble Legislative Conference, and we’re looking forward to gathering with local leaders to network and address the provincial issues that impact our members.
Our Lobby items are now finalized and available on the Lobby Items page of this website. With these materials ready, our next step is to connect with MLAs in advance of the conference. This outreach provides important lead time for Locals and APFFPA Principle Officers to engage with MLAs and Cabinet Ministers, building momentum as we approach the event for a more fruitful legislative conference.
Locals are strongly encouraged to ask their MLA, for an invitation to Question Period in the afternoon on Tuesday, October 28th. Attending Question Period offers a chance to observe the Legislature in action, is a way of supporting your MLA, and is a positive way to signal your Local’s political engagement. IAFF presence in the chamber will help bring additional attention to our issues.
Please continue to check this website for updates as we get closer to the conference. We’ll be adding new resources, confirming speakers, and refining the agenda.
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone in Edmonton for a successful conference.

In Solidarity,
Dan Henschel
